Newsletter Apr 2010 – Investing in China : Boom or Bubble?

After the announcement of a massive economic stimulus package in November 2008, China recorded GDP growth of almost 10% in 2009. The Chinese economy is expected to expand by a further 9.5% this year, in stark contrast to the more meagre growth forecasts of developed countries.

Depending on which measure is used, the Chinese economy now looks set to become the world’s biggest in a matter of years if not decades. In 2009, China overtook Germany to become the world’s largest exporter, accounting for 10% of world exports. Read the full newsletter here..
